Massive charge sheet coming up in AgustaWestland case: CBI to HC

New Delhi, Nov 13 (IANS): The Central Bureau of Investigation on Wednesday told the Delhi High Court that it is filing a "massive charge sheet in the AgustaWestland case".

The submissions were made before a single Judge bench of Justice Mukta Gupta while it was hearing the bail plea filed by AgustaWestland deal alleged middlemen Christian Michel James in both CBI and ED case.

"We are filing a massive charge sheet which would have the names of some public servants/bureaucrats," said Special Public Prosecutor (SPP) DP Singh as he sought more time to file a response on the bail plea filed by Michel.

Michel was taken into custody by the CBI on December 5, 2018 after his extradition from Dubai, while the ED took him into custody on December 22, 2018.

He is in judicial custody in both the cases. Michel, Guido Haschke and Carlo Gerosa are the three alleged middlemen being probed in the Rs 3,600-crore VVIP chopper scam by the two central agencies.

CBI, never concluded any cases with results. Only charge sheets, hearings and when Government changes they go behind ruling Government and prosecute the opposition. However we never seen in Independent India this much misuse of CBI for political gain.

Very much required. Citizens of India are more than keen to know the name of the involved. This shouldn't be 'Tusssss...' like Bofors, in which certain legal experts made fortune of lifesize, fighting to prove but proved nothing.
