Mangaluru: FMMC emerges winner in quiz competition at Tokyo

Mangaluru, Oct 22: Sandeep Rao Kordcal and Anil D'Souza, final year MBBS students of Father Muller Medical College, have won as the Runners-up in the International Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Quiz (Fujio Cup Quiz) conducted by NCRM NICHE at Shibaura Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan.

After two preliminary rounds of quizzing and research article writing, the top 18 teams from across the world were selected as Elite participants to interact with stem cell researchers and take part in the pre-final and final round in Tokyo.



A cash prize of 50,000 Japanese Yen was awarded to the runners-up.

The Management and Faculty of the Father Muller Charitable Institution sent them their congratulatory wishes and pray for their safe journey back home. Fr Richard A Coelho, director, FMCI, Fr Ajith B Menezes, administrator, FMMC, Dr J P Alva, dean, FMMC, and the faculty are awaiting the winners’ return.
