Mangaluru: The Yenepoya Institute Rotaract Club inaugural, installation held

Mangaluru, Oct 17: The inaugural and installation of Rotaract Club of The Yenepoya Institute of Arts, Science, Commerce & Management was held on Friday October 11 at the college lecture hall 18.

After the invocation and welcome by the staff in-charge, Pratheeksha, assistant professor, the club was officially inaugurated by the traditional lighting of the lamp by dignitaries.

Lakshmi B M, assistant professor, introduced the chief guests. Rotary president, Rtn Jathin inducted the Rotaract president, Rtr Munim Shabandari, Rotaract Chairman, Rtn Vinod while the youth service director, Rtn Kevin inducted the other office-bearers.

Rtr Munim Shabandari then delivered his acceptance speech.

Rtn Jathin and youth service director, Rtn Kevin gave a meaningful and excellent message about Rotary and Rotaract.

College principal Dr Parvadhavardhini Gopalakrishnan delivered her presidential address, wherein she highlighted the great and noble task of eradication of polio by the Rotary. Mervin Vas, assistant professor, college Rotaract officer was also on the dais.

The vote of thanks was proposed by Rtn Munin Shabandari, newly elected president.

The programme came to an end with the singing of the National Anthem.

Nashwa Iqbal compered the formal programme. Sweets were later distributed on the occasion.

The newly elected office bearers for the year 2019-20 are:

Secretary: Fathima
Joint secretary: Aman
Treasure: Adhil
Reporter: Aalam
