Margao, Oct 15: Six masked men reportedly attacked a wine shop owner at Margao on late Sunday night. The police are still in pursuit of the accused men and have not yet made any arrests.

The victim identified as Freddy Fernandes, while on his way back home, realised he left his mobile phone in the shop. To retrieve his phone, Freddy went back to his shop. As soon as he reached, he was jumped by masked assailants who forced to him open his shop. Refusing to oblige to their demands, one of the accused attacked him with a knife and all six fled the scene.

Freddy was admitted for minor injuries at a local hospital but was soon discharged after treatment.

A case has been booked by the Fatorda police and investigation is underway.
