Ajman, Oct 14: Thumbay University Hospital, the largest private academic hospital in the region located at Thumbay Medicity, here, will be conducting a unique health event titled ‘Thumbay Health Carnival & Free Mega Medical Camp’ which will offer free doctor consultations across all major specialties, free medicines and discounted tests and procedures to visitors, on Friday, October 18 from 7 am to 9 pm.
The event will be held at Thumbay Medicity – the regional hub of state-of-the-art medical education, healthcare and research, at Al Jurf, Ajman and will also include the two specialized hospitals of Thumbay Medicity namely, Thumbay Dental Hospital and Thumbay Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Hospital.
The programme will kick-off at 7 am with an hour-long yoga session led by ‘The Art of Living’ foundation. The free medical camp will run from 9 am to 9 pm, with Thumbay University Hospital offering free specialist consultation along with discounts on lab/radiology services and surgical procedures. Free ultrasound and ECG will also be available to selected patients, based on doctors’ recommendations. Visitors will also be able to book specially discounted surgical and delivery packages. The Thumbay Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Hospital will offer, in addition to free Physiatrist/Physical Therapist consultations, free physiotherapy sessions, Digital Spine Analysis and ‘Risk of Fall Assessment and Fall Prevention’ programme for the elderly, as well as 40% discount on all treatments. Free dental consultations and discounted dental procedures can be availed at Thumbay Dental Hospital.
The event is designed as a family fun day, with a variety of special competitions and programmes, especially for women and kids. Some of them include ‘Onam Pookkalam’ (floral design) competition for ladies, cultural programmes, magic show, musical programme, henna, face painting, coloring competition, health quiz and health awareness sessions by pediatricians. Winners of the competitions will be presented with various gifts and prizes like gold coins and health-checkup vouchers. Visitors/participants can also avail free meals at the venue.
