Dubai, Sep 4: Pakistani national Shahid Mahmood, popularly known as 'Arbab of Satwa', distributed free pizza slices along with a cup of Baskin Robbins ice-cream to hungry tourists and bystanders passing by the 2nd December Street in Satwa on Thursday.

Shahid Mahmood has been doing the service for the last three years and everyday 400 to 700 individuals have been enjoying free food from the Arbab's hands. The food includes pizza slices, burgers, rice and chicken and much more. It was a delightful experience for many on Thursday when UAE's most popular ice-cream brand Baskin Robbins also partnered with Arbab and served a cup of ice-cream along with the pizza slice.

"I started my journey here. I gave free ice-cream to a woman who was distributing pamphlets in the heat. That one ice-cream became two and three. Today, I feed over 500 people everyday," said Mahmood, as quoted in Khaleej Times.

Jude Perera, head of marketing at Baskin Robbins also expressed happiness to be part of the worthy cause. "We greatly appreciate this cause that has been ongoing for three years. It was a hidden one until KT came out with a story on what Mahmood is doing. When we heard about where it had all begun, we wanted to participate in this worthy cause," said Jude Perera, as quoted in Khaleej Times.
