Bengaluru: ED serves notice on D K Suresh - Seeks personal appearance

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Oct 1: The New Delhi office of the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which has been probing the case of alleged money laundering against former Karnataka minister, D K Shivakumar, has served notice on Bengaluru (rural) MP, D K Suresh, asking him to appear at the ED office at New Delhi on October 7.

It may be recalled that Shivakumar's daughter, Aishwarya, had been summoned by the ED authorities at the agency's Delhi office during the first half of September for questioning.

Suresh had declared assets of Rs 338 crore as per the affidavit filed during the Lok Sabha election. It is believed that the ED wants to seek sources of these properties and also about dealings Suresh has with his brother, Shivakumar.

Speaking to reporters at Delhi, D K Suresh said he has not received any notice from the ED so far. "We are ready for everything. We believe we are going through a difficult phase," he commented.

Shivakumar's bail: As a trial court denied bail to Shivakumar, he has approached the Delhi high court for bail through an appeal. This appeal will be taken up by the high court on October 14. The high court which received the appeal for hearing on Monday, asked the ED to file details of progress in investigation in the case against Shivakumar.

Shivakumar has multiple sources of incomes like construction business, import and export, commodity trading, transport etc. It is here that he has made money. Not by farming only. So get your facts correct.

It's poor people's money they have eaten. Karma follows everywhere.

Corruption need to removed from the root from Indian society.

Infact every minister need to be ripped off from the ilgotten money with them and need to make them pauper. This could be from both the ruling and opposition party ministers. Now everyone understands why these MLA's are fighting for seats, berth's in political circle. Huge money is generated from this sector.
