Udupi, Sep 23: One more case has been filed at Udupi town police station against Nishanth S Kumar (19), resident of Kaup Kotalakatte, who is already arrested by the police on the accusation of stealing golden ornaments from the house of teacher couple of Shankerapura, who also happen to be his relatives.

The second complaint is filed by Premakanti, a resident of Ambalapady, who is also a relative of accused Nishanth. In her complaint filed with the police, Premakanti says, "Nishanth used to come to our house often. On August 21, he had come to our house at around 10 am and saw the one sovereign golden chain worn by me and asked me to give the same to him in order to click a photo as he also wanted to buy a similar type of golden chain. After clicking the photo of the chain, he had given the same back to me.

"On September 21, when I read about Nishanth’s arrest in the newspaper, I suspected about the golden chain, which Nishanth had returned after clicking the photo. When I removed the same from the cupboard where I had kept it, my suspicion turned true as it was duplicate one."
