Abu Dhabi, Sep 22: Selected roads have been installed with set of radars in the Emirates. At initial stages, these have been installed by Abu Dhabi Police only at some places for testing and operational purposes.

These news radars detect violations by motorists such as speeding and running a red light.

The Abu Dhabi Police are also planning to install other kind of radars with extra features which capture motorists who do not give way to pedestrians.

The radar which prioritizes pedestrians will be named Aber and will be placed in areas like mosques and schools for starters.
