Mangaluru: St Agnes College NSS unit engages in Amala Bharatha Campaign

Mangaluru, Sep 20: Four NSS volunteers of St Agnes College NSS unit participated in an ABC (Amala Bharatha Campaign) programme held at Uchila Bhovee Higher Elementary School, Someshwara.

The honorable guests of the programme were U T Khadar, MLA Mangaluru constituency, Vineetha Rai, NSS programme coordinator and many other dignitaries.

A total of 400 participants from various colleges attended the programme which began with a prayer.



The dignitaries addressed the gathering during which they enlightened the students about the importance of Shramadan and Dengue awareness. The volunteers were later divided into two groups and all were provided with gloves and masks.

One group was assigned beach cleaning while the other group had to do the highway cleaning.

After Shramadhan the volunteers were provided with lunch and the programme ended at 2.00 pm.
