Chikkaballapur: Contractor falls prey to ‘Italian’ lady's trick - Loses Rs 33 lac

Daijiworld Media Network - Chikkaballapur (SP)

Chikkabllapur, Sep 20: Muniraju (45), a contractor from the town, had separated from his first wife. In order to marry a second time by choosing an ideal girl, he registered himself in a matrimonial site. Soon he found a girl who seemed to match his requirements.

A girl who checked the bio-data uploaded by Muniraju in a matrimonial site six months back, called him over his mobile phone. She introduced herself as J Daksha Patel. They began to chat with each other. She claimed that she was working for a company in Italy and that her family members had agreed to accept Muniraju as their son-in-law. She made him believe that she would return to India, settle down here and marry him.

On July 23, she said she was returning to India and sent photo of the flight ticket by Whatsapp. She called again to say that she had reached Delhi where customs officers had taken her into custody for possessing foreign currency notes worth Rs 1.5 crore. She said she needed to pay Rs 55,000 by way of taxes and requested Muniraju to credit this amount to her account. Thereafter, in course of time, he transferred different amounts totalling to Rs 33 lac to the account number provided by the lady.

At last, the mobile phone of the lady got switched off. The contractor, who realized that he had been taken for a raid, got the bank accounts of the lady verified and found that everything was fake.

How blind can be people with " Blind Love and it's Sweet Nothings" . This incident is height of foolishness as he should have used his thinking a bit when she asked him for such a huge money. Don't these people read and know about such fraudsters in the past and be careful with such incidents.
Why are people talking about one Italian Lady in our country ? How is it that we immediately connect issues n people without any reason. Politics and politicizing issues is so common in our society these days, isn't it??

A costly lesson. Some men never learn to resist wiles and fall for them; and they pay the price - this contractor probably could afford that price!

Womens are much cleverer to fool men by sweet talk. How one can fall into trap so easily is mysterious thing. May be contractor thought after all after marriage all money and wealth belonged to italian lady only. Better handover now at propper time and build right relationship from now onwards itself. Munniraju blindly believed her.
Now might be she is in chikkaballatpur itself shopping herself for what she need.

Question is " How does a contractor has so much money to send it to some unknown lady"? Of course it's looted money by corrupt means. When you loot others, someone will loot you also, this is the nature's law. So no need to regret.....
    It applies to all....

Photo of the flight ticket by Whatsapp is no guarantee that its genuine. Arriving at Delhi airport and being taken into custody for possessing foreign currency notes worth Rs 1.5 crore itself was enough to raise doubt. She needed to pay Rs 55,000 by way of taxes and requested Muniraju to credit this amount to her account and eventually him transferring a total amount of Rs 33 lakhs indicates he was rich but poor in commonsense.
Bank accounts of the lady verified and found that everything was fake. Why could he not have verified all these after transferring Rs. 55,000/=? That would be another contract to the contractor.
