Mangaluru: Vasudeva Kamath bags state level best principal award

Mangaluru, Sep 20: Vasudeva Kamath, principal of Gurpur government PU college, was chosen for the state level 'best principal' award for the year 2019-20.

Kamath was conferred with the award at a function organized at Bengaluru on the occasion of Teachers Day by primary and secondary education minister, Suresh Kumar.

Kamath was chosen for the award in recognition of his contribution in the progress of the government PU college at Gurpur. Currently he is working as deputy director of PU education at Mangaluru.

    One of the best government servants I have come across. Always pro poor. His book bank has helped 1000s of students. The work he has done for the uplifting government colleges is really commendable, truly deserving for this award. Need not such people in our education system.
