Bengaluru: Heavy rainfall in north Karnataka districts - Light in coast

Bengaluru, Sep 20: During the 24-hour period ended 8.30 am on Thursday, September 19, many parts of north interior Karnataka received heavy rainfall while coastal Karnataka and some in southern interior Karnataka got some rains.

Yalburga in Koppal district received 11 cm rainfall, which was the highest in the state. Kerur got ten cam rain, Guledgud seven, Kamalapur six, and Lingasagur five cm. Bhatkal, Tumakuru, Hoskote experienced three cm of rainfall each. Karwar, Kollur, Karkala etc got one cm of rain.

The meteorological department has predicted reasonable rainfall in most parts of the coast, a few places in north interior Karnataka, and some more places in south interior Karnataka, which is valid till Saturday morning.
