Udupi: Social Science workshop conducted at Nirmala English Medium School Brahmavar

Udupi, Sep 19: A workshop conducted on September 16 at Nirmala English Medium School, Brahmavar attended by Social Science teachers from various schools in and around Brahmavar, catered to the professional growth and development of Social Science teachers. Brahmavara zone Social Science teachers organised the workshop.

It began with a prayer song by Narendra Kumar Kota.

Heriya (Social-Science teacher) extended a floral welcome to the dignitaries namely BEO of Brahmavar zone, O R Prakash, headmaster of Nirmala English Medium School, Fr Joslie D’Silva, nodel officer of Social Science, Ashok Kumar Shetty, resource persons of the workshops and to all the teachers.

The sessions commenced with an ice-breaker wherein the objectives of teaching Social Science were stressed upon. The resource persons laid importance on the blueprint of SSLC and lessons weightage of X Social Science.

Importance of sensitizing children toward social issues and developing skills of observation were also discussed. Overall, it was an enriching session which ended with a vote of thanks rendered by Ashok Kumar Shetty.
