Chikkamagaluru, Sep 19: A youngster who was madly in love with a girl, was infuriated at the fact that the girl failed to reciprocate his feelings. In a fit of rage, he tried to kill her by stabbing her repeatedly on Wednesday, September 18.

The girl, who suffered serious injuries, is fighting for her life.

The accused happens to be Mithun from Gandigeshwara near Balehonnur in the district. The stabbing incident happened at Magalgodu in N R Pura taluk. It is said that Mithun was forcing the girl from Handya village to love him. She however repeatedly rebuffed his advances. He is also learnt to have threatened her and she was frustrated by his harassment. Pained by her neglect, he stabbed her in the stomach, back, and neck before absconding.

The locals immediately admitted her into Balehonnur hospital. From there she was referred to a hospital in the town. Here, the doctors gave her some treatment and sent her to Hassan. The girl is fighting for life, and the police are searching for the absconding culprit.

A case in this respect has been lodged in Balehonnur police station.

    H e is really sick in mind.Otherwise a person who loves a girlor boy will never harm or try to kill.after attacking why should he ran away?Coward person.When heeis not willingly coming to police,then arrest his father .when he loves his father he will certainly come to him or parents must be hiding.

    God is merciful!. He wrote our taqdeer(fate) and he also claims to have given us free will.Isn't it contradction.How can he be merciful when he just created us to test with programmed software(fate).How can he be meciful when he just remain mute spectator though he can restrain the evil things happening in this world.The belief in god is delusional, we as human being should understand that and try to live on reality.It's not god who decides who we shoud be or what we should do rather it's us.

    I remember Jossy Saldanha's comments Mera desh badal raha hei.

    Youngsters are going beyond track. Both girl and boy loose life. One may survive or not, other will be in the jail.

    My thinking is that lesson should be introduced for I st to 7th standard students to respect others life. And special seminars once in a month should be engaged so that all students will participate with interest.
    coffee snacks also should be served.

    This may work.

    What the accused did was wrong. You taking revenge is not right either. The sensible thing would be to have him arrested for stalking and harassment which may have prevented such an incident.

    If he is mad in love... Why is he absconding? He should have gone and surrendered in the police station... Girl should not live but he wants to live.. trying to kill another girl if she doesn't agree for his "mad" love..!! Stupid fellow.. Stabbed her as if he gave birth to her and brought her up...     What we see across & around is the Nav Bharat Syndrome..., youth's become intolerant.., they probably think that... the political connections will come to their help in exonerating themselves from these kind of heinous sins...!!!

    After all these kind of instances increased all across Hindustan..., mainly due to Joblessness..., had this boy is a well groomed, hard working & employed... probably the girl would have embraced him from the bottom of her heart.. !!!!
