Bengaluru: Dr G Parameshwar visits New Delhi - Meets Sonia Gandhi

Bengaluru, Sep 18: Former deputy chief minister of Karnataka Dr G Parameshwar, who was in Delhi, met interim national president of the Congress, Sonia Gandhi, and held discussions with her.

Parameshwar, giving details through his twitter account, said that he met Sonia and held discussions about the current issues in state politics and developments within the party with her. It may be recalled that Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president Dinesh Gundu Rao, and leader of the Congress legislature party, Siddaramaiah, were unable to meet Sonia Gandhi even after waiting for the same. It is said that Parameshwar's success in meeting the party president has come as a shock for Siddaramaiah faction in the party.

Parameshwar also said that he met former minster and party MLA D K Shivakumar, who is under treatment at a Delhi hospital. He expressed the confidence that Shivakumar will come through legal struggle unscathed and will regain health soon.
