Kasargod, Sep 18: "Even after a month, the police have failed to arrest the accused in the attack on Our Lady of Mercy Church Manjeshwar. If the culprits are not arrested soon, hunger protest will be held in front of the offices of deputy commissioner (DC) and superintendent of police (SP)," said Rolphy D'Costa, president of Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh in a press conference that was held at the Kasargod press club on Tuesday, September 17.

Rolphy further said, "Justice needs to be served to the public by arresting the culprits who have attacked the church. If this demand is not met, after a day's fast protest, fast unto death will be held in front of the DC and SP office of the district.

"The police, who arrived on the spot immediately after the attack had promised to arrest the hooligans within 24 hours. However, even after a month they are unable to trace them. All the leaders of political parties, regardless of caste and political affiliation had condemned the attack. Christians of the diocese had taken a huge protest march from Manjeshwar Block office to Hosangadi pressurizing the police to arrest the accused," added Rolphy.

Rophy D'Costa said, "In addition to the protest march, appeals were submitted to state revenue minister E Chandrashekharan and Kasaragod MLA N A Nellikunnu. But this did not yield any result. Considering all these factors, fast protest will be held in coming days."

Where are the people in authority who have to take corrective step and arrest the
culprits. If we allow this to happen and no action being taken how do we call this as democracy. While the citizens of this country are responsible for their own misdeeds done towards maligning others
we need to show them the right path. Goodaism is not the way to achieve power in hand.

I am surprised about the threats of hunger strike.

    or, am I?

When there are people in the community facing incredible hardships, these people do not resort to any fasting...

...so that they can hand over their food to the suffering members of the community.

But someone throws a stone at a lifeless building, and suddenly these characters are out in strength, with threats of hunger strike.

Dear people! God does not need any of these lifeless buildings.

There are many people like in the society @ Manglorean who are surprised and throwing stones at a life less building...…...I wish someone throws stones at your lifeless house.....how do you feel?

These idoits who threw stones at places of worship must be severely punished.
Why the police have not taken any action??? is surprising ???
Without delay culprits whoever they are must be booked and punished, so that the potential miscreants learn the lesson

Our society shamelessly driven by the myopic and spineless politicians who in turn influence govt entities that are supposed to serve the public are in fact made inept & impotent
to serve their selfish and self centred agendas
