Mumbai: First AC mini buses to launch in city

Daijiworld Media Network - Mumbai (SR)

Mumbai, Sep 16: Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray will launch the first AC mini buses in the city on Monday. Six of the 21-seater buses will be launched at Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST) headquarters in Colaba.

Commuters from the island city and suburbs will get last mile connectivity with the buses deployed on feeder routes outside railway and metro stations.

“Some of these buses, attached to the Colaba bus depot, could be run 'conductor-less' on a few office-going routes and the routes will be finalised in the next few days,” said an official from BEST.
