Bagalkot: Lok Adalat reunites two married couple on the verge of divorce

Bagalkot, Sep 15: Lok Adalat in the district court here was witness to a unique event on Saturday, September 14. Two married couples who were about to divorce due to irreparable differences were made to change their mind and unite once again by the lawyers and judges of the Lok Adalat.

Krishna and Jyoti and Kamal and Kripa couple had applied for divorce in the court. However, the suggestion and counseling done by the team of lawyers Santhosh Joshi, S N Yadawada, K H Lamani and justice Anila Katti of principal district and sessions court made the couple change their minds and live together again.

Justice Anil Katti said, "Husband and wives are spoiling their life by listening to third parties and not using their own discretion and getting divorced. Both illiterate and literate people are involved in this. Lok Adalat has the authority to unite people and not separate. The aim of the National Lok Adalat is to reunite the couple by changing their minds."
