Bengaluru: State government hikes salaries of police personnel

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Sep 15: The state government has given official order to revise the salary of the police force of the state in accordance with the senior IPS officer Raghavendra Auradkar committee report based on the seniority of service. At last, the long-pending demand of the state police is materialised.

According to the government order, the revised salary is implemented from the month of August 2019 itself. As the salary of the state police personnel is already deposited in their respective accounts, the arrears of the hike will be paid along with the salary for the month of September.

The order contains the revised salaries of constables, ASIs, SIs and non-IPS cadre officers. The salaries are revised based on the recommendations of the sixth pay commission of 2018 based on the seniority in service.

Due to technical reasons, the order does not include Sub-inspector, DySP and ASP posts. However, their salary also will be revised according to seniority in service. The officials of the government have confirmed that this will be done in few days’ time.

The revised salary scale of certain posts in the police force are as follows:

Constable - Old pay scale - Rs 21,400 - Rs 42,000. Revised pay scale - Rs 23,500- Rs 47,650

Yes they deserve better pay.. they do not sit in ac rooms and work like others.. every job has tensions and pressure.. but police duty includes. pressure, tension and physical work with sleepless nights... everyone works for money.. even they have their families who like others expect a better living condition .. so obviously when they do not get paid much they will look for other income source.... let them and our military personals be paid good... we have to be happy that their salary is hiked....

SC has clear guidelines without service road , street lights, highway access and flyovers cannot collect the toll , it’s a criminal offence and hooliganism by government and toll operators .

    Obvious Equation
High Vehicular Penalties / Fines = Bonuses / Incentives

State Govt : Fix the Roads, Signages, Inspect & Avoid HIGH BEAM LIGHTS, Fill Potholes, create First Aid stations, Invest on Solar Street Lights !

Bribes will continue as long as there are people who are ready to pay and get off from them. Carry all vaid vehicle documents and then see if they demand bribe. Also people pay bribe to police for passport verification just to get the things early . Stop doing all such nonsense, automatically bribes will stop.
