Mangaluru, Sep 14: The sixth additional district judge acquitted on Friday, September 13 Jagadish, Shivaji, Gautham Chandra and Yashwanth, four men suspected of murdering Rohith and attempting to kill his friend Roshan Roche near KSRTC bus stand on May 8, 2016.
It may be recalled, Rohith was waiting with his friend near KSRTC bus stand, Mangaluru at about 4.30 pm on May 8, 2016 to get into an auto to go to A J Hospital when suspects Jagadish, Shivaji, Gautham Chandra and Yashwanth who arrived in an auto from Bejai church road stabbed Rohith on his stomach, beat him up with wooden log and stones and killed him.

They also severely injured his friend Roshan Roche beating him up with wooden log and stones before fleeing.
Barke station police had arrested the four men and registered cases against them under IPC section 302, 307, 324 and 334. The court which heard arguments and counter arguments in the case acquitted the suspects due to lack of proof and witnesses.
Well known advocate of Mangaluru Raghavendra Rao, K Gauri Shenoy and Supriya Acharya had argued the case in favour of suspects.
