Udupi: Obstructing police on duty - One booked

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (SP)

Udupi, Sep 14: The traffic police have registered case against a person named Muhammed Haris, duly charging him for stopping police jeep and obstructing policemen from discharging their duties. In this case, the office of the district superintendent of police has clarified that when checking vehicles and imposing fines on erring vehicles on fish market road here on Thursday September 12, the police were uniformed.

"The traffic police sub-inspector and staff were wearing uniforms when checking vehicles, registering cases, and collecting fine. A total of 11 cases were registered there. At that time, a bike rider without wearing helmet who came that way was stopped. He then called someone on phone. Within a short time thereafter, another person (later identified as Muhammed Haris) arrived there, stood in front of the police jeep, and began to shout at the police for registering cases there, and asking the sub-inspector to step out of the jeep," officials of the office of the superintendent of police said in a release.

The police said that many people gathered at the spot and therefore, the town police station was informed. "Two policemen from there came to assist the traffic police. One among the two had discharged duty the previous night and was again posted on duty on Thursday night. Therefore he was in plainclothes. He also tried to pacify the person who continued to shout. But the man also threatened the said policeman. He then drove the motor bike away, with the person who came earlier seated in the pillion. Police had not committed any dereliction of duty there," the office said.

I watched the video, the man was shouting at the person who was stopping the vehicle in plain cloth and he was not carrying the ID. now police have a different story by saying he discharged duty the previous night and was again posted on duty on Thursday night. Therefore he was in plainclothes. but the video has a different story to say.

After looking at police behavious towards minorities its not a surprise. Phlu khan , Tabrez Ansari died because of heart attack based on police FIR and culprits acquitted, but mob lynching video says different story .. this is our new India.

We are back in the British police raj yet again. Police can do anything and they are not accountable to anyone. Further, video related to corruption, high-handedness of authorities, horrible shape of roads, officials abusing all rules, bribes handed over to police etc., get vanished pretty quickly from social media. Main stream media, has much bigger role, where they are asking people almost pay fines, despite having all the documents and vehicle in order.

We have found a way and voted for people, who want to take we all Indians, back to prehistoric ages. To re-write the history, based on their own perceptions.

Some time back one MP too did the same but nothing happened to him instead the MP is proud of what he did. Our police and courts should be consistent. That's all.
