Maharashtra CM's convoy stopped by Pune cops to transport donor's heart

Pune, Sep 11: As a part of the green corridor, Pune traffic police stopped the Maharashtra CM's convoy for the transportation of a donor's heart.


The donor heart which was being transported was flown in a chartered plane from a Solapur-based hospital. It arrived at the Lohegaon airport for a transplant scheduled on Friday evening at the Ruby Hall Clinic.

It was the 100th green corridor created by the Traffic cops in Pune for organ transplantation. The act received applause from CM Devendra Fadnavis as well, praising the officials on his official Twitter handle the CM said, "Well done @PuneCityPolice! That’s the way it should be! Wishing the person getting a new heart, a speedy recovery!."
