Police foil gambling den operated by women

Mumbai, Aug 25: A gambling den which was being operated by 13 women on the day of Janmashthami, was foiled by the police. After receiving a tip-off regarding the activity police manage to nab the guilty.

According to the officials, the women arrested were senior citizens between the ages of 52-65 years. Over Rs 26,780 were recovered from them and all the women were booked under the Bombay Gambling Act.

The accused were found playing 'teen patti' in the premises at Agashi Chalpeth in Arnala. Most of the women hail from Virar.
