Udupi, Aug 22: A team of police personnel from Brahmavar police station, under the leadership of police circle inspector, Srikanth K, has succeeded in arresting Mohammed Ali alias Suresh (45), son of Ahmed Bawa, resident of Kalavaru near Pejawar, Bala village, Dakshina Kannada district, who was accused of stealing cash and valuables from a rented house of Nataraj, Myrekome, Heggunje village, Brahmavar between August 3 and August 6. The accused was arrested from near Jail road, Mangaluru. 

38.75 grams of gold jewelry worth about Rs 1,20,000, Rs 3,00,550 in cash, an auto rickshaw worth about Rs 25,000 used for the said theft and an Omni car worth about one lac rupees bought by the accused out of stolen cash stand recovered from the arrested accused. The total value of gold ornaments and cash recovered in this case happens to be Rs 5,45,550. 

The operation was conducted by Brahmavar police station PSI Raghavendra C, ASI Narayana, staff Venkatramana Devadiga, Pravin Shettigar, Raghavendra Karkada, Ganesh Devadiga, Dileep Kumar, Harish Prasad and others under the leadership of police circle inspector, Srikanth, and directions of district superintendent of police, Nisha James and guidance from other senior police officials.
