New Delhi, Aug 18 (IANS): The Bank Board Bureau (BBB) has invited applications for the post of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO) in the Punjab National Bank (PNB) and the Bank of India (BoI).

According to the BBB notification, applications can be submitted by 12 p.m. on September 16. The appointment will be for three years.

While the post of MD & CEO in the PNB will become vacant after retirement of Sunil Mehta on September 30, the BoI post is vacant since Dinbandhu Mohapatra retired earlier this year.

"The three-year term begins from the date of taking charge and will be subject to the normal age of superannuation (60 years)," it said.

After the last date of submission of applications, a short-list will be prepared. Later an advisory firm may assist the BBB in assessing the candidates' leadership competencies and capabilities.

The BBB would recommend the Centre the names after interactions with applicants.
