CM Yediyurappa arrives at Mangaluru airport, proceeds to visit flood-hit areas

Mangaluru, Aug 12: Chief Minister B S Yediyurppa arrived at Mangaluru International Airport on Monday, August 12. He is the district to review the damage caused by rains and floods in Bantwal and Beltangady taluks.

CM Yediyurappa is also scheduled to visit Sri Manjunatha temple at Dharmasthala at 2.30 p.m. He will hold a meeting with MLAs, MP and officials at Dharmasthala.

Speaking to media, he said, “I will be visiting the flood-affected places today here in Bantwal and Beltangady. We have to support and help those who have lost their homes.

“Cabinet expansion will be done after August 15. I will be leaving to Delhi on August 16 to take decision on Cabinet expansion.

“Now it is only about managing the flood situation in the state. Five relief centres have been opened in the district. There is a loss of Rs 40, 000 crore in the state. I have asked for immediate release of Rs 3,000 crore for relief which has been assured by the centre,” he said.

Yediyurappa will hold meeting with MLAs and officials. He will also meet affected locals during his tour.

He will leave Dharmasthala for Mangaluru airport at 5.15 pm and from there proceed to Mysuru.

    Actually look at effort the 76 year old man is putting up bravely. Whatever said & done by burning & jealous hearts, this one old man army is proving to be more effective than army of 35 men & women from different parties who came together to gobble State.

    Yediurapa stand on pumpwel bridge you can see all D.K. bridge planned and designed by Mr. Kateel no chance to water enter that area.
