Mangaluru, Aug 10: As many as eight ABVP activists were detained by police who raised slogans against Kanhaiya Kumar, leader of the All-India Students’ Federation, on Saturday, August 10.

Kanhaiya is in Mangaluru to attend a two-day B V Kakkilaya centenary programme at Bishop Jatthana auditorium in Balmatta, from August 10 in memory of the late freedom fighter and the Communist Party of India leader.

The ABVP members were seated in audience before the Kanhaiya started his speech. Police took them outside. Nearly 20 to 25 members from ABVP, Sri Rama Sene and Hindu Jagarana Vedike, gathered outside the hall and raised slogans against Kanhaiya. All of them were detained.

Kanhaiya will speak on the topic ‘Indian youth at cross roads’ at the programme.

He spoke in hindi! And the audience did not mind it... they have a problem when hindi is used in the metro... this is the sad state of a state like Karnataka. Other than that one can only pity the mindset that this kanhayaa maintains. Very loser kind of attitude...whining...complaining...criticizing...how he gets the room for so much dissent is amazing.

Kanhaiya is the Democracy of India. A legend born for the people.
We all need to learn from him. Every district should have a person like Kanhaiya. We will realise what's our position being a true citizen of India and what's our duty.

Kanhaiya is going to be the most powerful leader in years to come.It is for this reason that the BJP is scared of him and trying to put obstacles on his popularity. If he is an insignificant leader then why is the BJP so worried?

More than 15 districts in Karnataka is under floodwater. People are begging for food, water, shelter, and medicine. Old people, pregnant women, children are in distress seeking help.

But this student wing ABVP of BJP seems to be still JNU 'Azadi Slogan' first invent in the Zee TV lab.

If ABVP can openly support Naturam Godse program, what is wrong of communist party leader Kanhaiya Kumar speaking in the memory of the late freedom fighters?

This protest of ABVP exposes their true nationalism. Are they afraid of a freedom fighter who laid their life for the nation or freedom of India?

ill informed, jobless youth indulging in mindless protests. As kanhaiya has always maintained, "if I have done anything wrong, why is the chargesheet not yet filed? The same government has been in power for some time now." Fact is that there has been no wrongdoing and that's why the so called powerful government is maintaining a stoic silence

Read the investigation reports which did not find any proof against Khaniya Kumar. Everyone knows that his program was infiltrated by outsiders most probably ABVO who shouted those slogans. Plus in a public forum Kumar swore alligence to the constitution whereas Sambit Patra refused to condemn Godse who was Gandhi’s killer and a terrorist

Everyone in this forum knows that Kanhaiya never uttered any anti national slogans or tukde tukde slogans, all the readers very well know that those slogans were uttered by ABVP activists and BJP karyakarta's who hijacked KK's program, and those videos which were produced as proof were doctored as well, Some people are simply not able to digest his popularity and want to show their loyalty to their master by criticizing KK which does not make any sense, and if it is proven that he is a Anti-National why is he still not behind bars...!
