Indian, Pakistan Army exchange heavy fire on LoC


Jammu, Jul 22 (IANS): The Indian and Pakistan Army exchanged heavy fire on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district on Monday.

Defence Ministry spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Devender Anand said here: "In early morning hours on Monday, Pakistan initiated unprovoked cease fire violation with firing of small arms and shelling with mortars along LoC in Sunderbani Sector of Rajouri district.

"The Indian Army retaliated befittingly," he added.
