Panaji, Jul 19: Chief minister Pramod Sawant, in his maiden budget speech, spoke about restructuring the technical education curriculum being taught to students in the state and improving quality of education. The CM said, "The time has come to improve academic quality of our education to match with world’s best academic system and my government will take all steps to improve academic quality from primary to University level."
The CM in his speech said he was concerned about the quality of technical education and assured of implementing various programmes at the college and university level to encourage students to consider innovation and start-ups at an early age, "Goa University and Board of Technical Education will be entrusted with this task,” Sawant added.
