Bengaluru, Jul 18: BJP state president, B S Yeddyurappa, who held meeting in the private resort where the legislators have been kept immediately after the Supreme Court announced its order, delivered a personal address. He told them that his party has the golden opportunity of running good administration in the state and sought support of the MLAs.

Before that, he performed Rudra Yaga oblation at Gavi Gangadhareshwara temple in the city. As soon as the order was pronounced, MLA Raghu distributed sweets. Speaking to legislators later, Yeddyurappa said that there is no need to be jittery as the Supreme Court order has infused moral courage to the dissident MLAs. "We can surely expect chief minister, Kumaraswamy, to try to execute some ulterior plan but this time the past will not be repeated. We will look after our MLAs like our own children," he said in a voice choked by emotions. It is said that the MLAs who too got emotional and pledged to solidly back Yeddyurappa.

Yeddyurappa told the legislators that during the trust vote, Kumaraswamy will utter words to incense BJP members, and launch personal attack on him. "He is sure to rain criticisms on Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and home minister, Amit Shah too, in an attempt to fuel our tempers. But we should not lose our cool under all circumstances, and patience should be our main Mantra," he told them.

BJP leaders like Jagadish Shettar, K G Bopaiah, Madhuswamy, Basavaraj Bommai, Suresh Kumar etc took part in discussions with legal experts about the possibilities arising out of the Supreme Court order.
