Bantwal: Woman gets her widowed daughter-in-law remarried

Daijiworld Media Network – Bantwal(EP)

Bantwal, Jul 16: It is seen during weddings that the parents of the bride request her in-laws to look after her, like their daughter. But very few act according to their request.

However, a woman here in a rare and noble gesture, has got her widowed daughter-in-law married again and become a role model to others.

Susheela, daughter of Gopalakaje resident Shantappa Gowda in Sullia was married to Madhava, son of Padmayya, residing in the same village, three years ago. However, Madhava died in a road accident, within a year of marriage.

Susheela who was pregnant was devastated after the death of her husband. However, her mother-in-law Kunyakka was worried about her young daughter-in-law's future. She decided that the life of her daughter-in-law should not end this way. Kunyakka spoke to her family members and got them to agree to get Susheela remarried. But Susheela was against it. Susheela had decided not to get married again as she was concerned about her son’s future. But she eventually agreed after intense persuasion.

The simple marriage of Susheela was conducted under the initiative of Kunyakka with Jayaprakash, resident of Kanyana of Bantwal. It was held in Kote Temple in the village.

Very good job done by her mother-in-law, I wish she was my mother-in-law too. Mother in law and daughter in law should always be good to each other, only then there will be peace in the house and society will learn to appreciate others daughters as their own. Hats of to you madam. Daughter in law, don't forget your son and mother in law. Love and harmony stay with the fly. God bless

Firstly what beautiful gesture by the mother-in-law who lost her own son , but instead of grieving for him she choose to worry about her daughter-in law . Humanity exists . And her decision to let go her daughter -in law to have a beautiful future , not all are strong as this lady . Hats off to you Kunyakka you have become a role model to all those who curse their daughter-in laws in such situations . May god bless you and your daughter and her new husband for facing all the odds and may happiness overflow in your lives.

I have no words to express on this family who agreed to give a new life to a widow in spite of her pregnancy. God bless the newly married couple and give happiness to the entire family. My hats off to Kunyakka for your decision to make her daughter-in-law agree for this. Susheela, now since you are married and about to have a baby, take care of yourself as your husband and the entire family is there. God is Great.
