Kundapur, Jul 15: Even as Karnataka chief minister, H D Kumaraswamy, and JD(S) supremo, H D Deve Gowda, are busy saving the coalition government from imminent collapse, the other senior politician from the family, H D Revanna, who happens to be the state PWD minister, visited different temples in coastal Karnataka on Sunday, July 14 and offered special prayers and pujas.

The fact that Revanna's visit coincided with the efforts being made to save the government has given rise to speculations.

Early on Sunday morning, the minster offered special puja at Kollur Goddess Mookambika temple and Hattiangady Lord Ganapathi temple. Speaking to media persons at Kollur, he said that he has cultivated the habit of visiting various temples and that his temple visits do not have anything to do with the current political crisis. "This visit is purely devotional. It is not connected with politics. I have paid obeisance to the Goddess several times in the past.   I get inspiration out of the energy vibes I get at this temple. I refuse to speak politics here. I have got the blessings of the Goddess," he stated.

Revanna moved to Goddess Durgaparameshwari temple at Kateel and offered puja thereafter. On observing that the media persons were recording the scene of his accepting Prasadam from the priests, he expressed anger and stopped them. He also asked the police personnel accompanying him to see that the recording is erased.

In the evening, he went to Dharmasthala where he prayed to Lord Manjunatheshwara. He also offered special service to the Lord. He later met Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade.

Interacting with media persons at Dharmasthala, he said that the survival or otherwise of the state government is in the hands of the divine. He said he had visited Dharmasthala to pray to the Almighty and that he does not want to speak about unhappy legislators.
