Mangaluru: Bloodstains in district court premises, police investigate

Mangaluru, Jul 13: Bloodstains were spotted at the parking lot of the district court premises on the afternoon of Friday, July 12.

Police have begun the investigation.

The sweeper, who was cleaning the area of parking lot that is near the main entrance, noticed the bloodstains around 2.30 pm. Later, the advocates, who gathered on the spot, informed the same to the police. The bloodstains are also seen on the Scorpio vehicle of a lawyer that was parked in the same parking lot.

People from forensic laboratory arrived on the spot and collected the samples. The CCTV footage is also being monitored. However, the area where the blood stains were seen is not covered by the CCTV camera.

Prima facie it looks that someone must have been assaulted with a sword as the blood stains are split over a large area. Bunder police are investigating further.
