Kuwait: Two job fraud victims to fly back to India on July 13

Kuwait, Jul 12: Two of the 34 youngsters from Mangaluru, stranded in Kuwait after becoming victims of job fraud, will fly back to India on July 13. 

The passports and tickets were handed over to the two victims identified as Abhishek Badage and Abubakkar Siddique on July 12, Friday. 

Institution of Engineers member Mohandas Kamath, former chairman Illongovan and his wife, Buntara Sangha Kuwait president Guruprasad Hedge, vice president Rakshsak Shetty were present. 

It was earlier stated that four men from Mangaluru will depart Kuwait on July 13. However, now information is received that only two will be flying back. Of the 34, 23 have received the necessary clearances to leave Kuwait. They are expected to return on July 15 and 17. 

The fates of remaining 11 will be decided later as they have some issues with the company. Eight of them identified as Imtiaz, Azeez Abdulla, Haneef Abbu, Mohammed Irfan, Ganesh Shivaram, Abdul Azeez, Mohammed Arif Bannur and Ashfaq Amir Hussain have to stay back in Kuwait. They face issues with the company which offered them employment. 

In the last week of May, 34 men from coastal Karnataka recorded a video appealing politicians and media to rescue them. The video which became viral has a youth explaining, how over 200 people from different parts of India were cheated by an employment agency. 

Since May, the victims of job fraud are living in nightmarish conditions in Kuwait. After their plight became viral, several good Samaritans came to their rescue.
