Mangaluru: Harish Sherigar’s Kannada film ‘Yaana’ hits screens

Mangaluru, Jul 12: 'Yaana', Kannada movie, produced by Harish Sherigar and Sharmila Sherigar, well-known entrepreneurs of Dubai and natives of Mangaluru, under their production banner ACME Movies International, in collaboration with Vijayalaxmi Singh of 'I Entertainment’, released here at Cinepolis on Friday, July 12.

Producer Harish Sherigar and Sharmila Sherigar inaugurated the release programme by lighting the lamp.

Speaking on the occasion, Producer Harish Sherigar said, "I am elated that Kannada movie Yaana is releasing. The film is a journey of three young girls and has come out really well."

'Yaana' has introduced 40 to 50 new comers in the film. Film has heavy star cast such as Anant Nag, Suhasini, Rangayana Raghu, Chikkana, Ramakrishna, Sundarraj, Gaddappa, Sundar, Veenasundar and M N Laxmidevi. Yaana’s dubbed Malyalam version will be releasing on July 19.

This movie, which has unique and special storyline, is produced by Harish Sherigar and Sharmila Sherigar, well-known entrepreneurs of Dubai and natives of Mangaluru, under their production banner ACME Movies International, in collaboration with Vijayalaxmi Singh of 'I Entertainment'.

The movie revolves on the young generation of today and will be welcomed the youths for sure. Actor Jai Jagadeesh and his wife Vijayalaxmi Singh are introducing their three daughters Vaibhavi, Vainidhi and Vaisiri to the Sandalwood through this cinema. It is for sure that their acting will captivate the cine lovers of Kannada.

'Yaana' is shot in beautiful locations including Chitradurga, Davanagere, Moodigere, Goa and North Karnataka. Vaibhavi, Vainidhi and Vaisiri have acted as the female leads in the movie and Sumukha, Chakravarthy and Abhishek are the male leads accompanying the three sisters.

The hot favourite pair of yesteryear actors Anant Nag and Suhasini is another feather in the cap of this movie.

Anant Nag and Suhasini pair had enthralled the audience in the movie 'Hosa Neeru'. Then they have acted in eight movies together. Yaana is their ninth movie as a pair.

Vijyalaxmi has written and directed this movie. The screen play is written by Vijayalaxmi Singh and Suhas Gangadhar. The dialogues are written by Suni and Abhishek. Music is scored by Sreedhar. Karm Chawla has done the cinematography.

Travel is one of the main part of the movie. The song 'Gari Bicchi Mari Hakki Adello Hari Hontive' written by Kaviraj and sung by renowned singer Raghu is already a hit among the Sandalwood fans. This song, which is in Fusion style, was released by Lahari on Youtube.

The lyrics of the songs in the film are written by Jayant Kaykini, Yograj Bhat, Hridaya Shiva, Shashank and Chethan Kumar. In total there are six songs and all are hits.

Harish Sherigar and Sharmila Sherigar had produced Kannada film 'March 22' under the direction of Kodlu Ramakrishna. This movie has received state and national level awards. In addition, media lauded the movie. Then Sherigars produced 'Hottegagi Genu Battegagi', which was also a super duper hit.
