Mangaluru: Police chief appreciates two policemen for excellent work during night rounds

Mangaluru, Jul 11: Kavoor ASI Ballal and head constable Mohan from Kavoor police limits were rewarded by police commissioner Sandeep Patil for their excellent work done during night rounds.

Kavoor ASI Ballal and head constable Mohan spotted a car parked near Haripadav late night on July 10, with two people inside it.

The two policemen showed great alertness in checking the vehicle and found ganja packets in the car. A case was registered. Two persons namely Gaurav and Rahul were arrested.

Noting this, police commissioner Sandeep Patil appreciated the work of the two policemen. He said that suitable rewards will be given to the two police personnel for their alertness.

    An excellent job done. This menace of drugs is an universal menace. The two policemen have done an excellent jog and indeed deserve awards and it is good of The Commissioner of Police to duly recognize the work done by the policemen and duly reward them.

    This is a good proactive initiate by the Mangalore police department. It starts with weed and then goes on to Class A drugs. Once the addiction takes hold, then unchecked, even the 12 and 13 year olds will be used as mules to transport these drugs like its happening in the county lines of England and Wales. But at the same time, the medicinal benefits of marijuana should not be neglected. We don't want to end up like another Afghanistan or Punjab where they youth cant start their day without a heroin jab. It will take them a lot of effort to come back to normal.

    GREAT INITIATIVE FROM POLICE COMMISSIONER . DAKSHINA KANNADA SHOULD BE FREE FROM DRUGS/ GANJA. LOTS OF STUDENTS WILL BE SAVED FROM THIS. ALL PARENTS /CITIZENS WILL APPRECIATE OUR POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR GREAT WORK.

    Good initiative. Increase the salaries of constables too. What can be done with 21000 rs per month? At least bring down the disparity between the salaries of top officers and constables.
    It can not be done by police offices, but they can always pressurize the home minister for the same.
    Happy police, happy society, better India.
