Extend NRC to Karnataka to weed out illegal immigrants - MP Tejasvi Surya

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

New Delhi, Jul 10: BJP MP Tejasvi Surya, representing Bengaluru city (south) constituency, said that illegal immigrants are a serious threat to the country. He expressed this opinion when speaking at the Lok Sabha on Wednesday, July 10.

He pointed out to the fact that a terror module, members of which are Bangladesh citizens that was operating from Chikkabanavara in the outskirts of Bengaluru, was busted recently.

Tejasvi sought extension of the concept of National Register of Citizens (NRC) to Karnataka state in general and Bengaluru in particular to weed out Bangladeshis who have come here and staying illegally.

The NRC will be self-destructive for the nation rather than having long time gains. The BJP which wanted to amend the 'Citizens Amendment Act' by giving natural citizenship for all the religions from the neighboring countries accept Muslims for electoral gains by changing the demography will make those countries reason to purge its minorities.

The nation which is already facing severe job crisis for its a new generation, reduction in the budget and welfare schemes for women and health care sector, dropping agriculture productivity due deficit in rainfall, availability of clean potable drinking water and reservation and so on will put the country in deep turmoil.

Unlike Mumbai, once the garden city is home to 7 out of 10 from other states. The Mumbai riots, IT boom, and pleasant weather and hospitable Kannadigas always welcome them with open arm. The job opportunity has opened the market for more residents to make their home.

Today lot North Easter state people work, study and having residence who have similar features like Bangladeshis. Let's not forget this the same city Tamil terror belongs to LTTE has been sheltered after the assassination of the late PM Rajiv Gandhi. But today Tamilians and Andhra are a central part of our culture.

Many of the world's major religious texts speak of treating the weary stranger with compassion. Likewise, the Hindu Vedas and teachings in Buddhism preach compassion when those in trouble seek asylum in order to escape persecution.

Did PM Modi, Amit Shah and MP Tejaasvi Surya and Assam ruling BJP ever read the Hindu Sanskrit text, the Taittirīya Upanishad, which says: "Regard Mother, Father, Teacher and the Uninvited Guest as God."?

The BJP MP Tejasvi Surya proposal is against the thoughts of 'Vasudeva Kuttumbakam'.

May be you should check your own comment. Advice to Kick out Rapists, Murderers & Terrorists is not dragging politics. It is the fact, Rapists, Murderers & Terrorists must be thrown out. They spoil the peace of the state. Hope you are not one among them.

See whether there is provision in any country to deport people who have stayed in any nation before a century?

If these Banglas are threat for our nation's safety AND security, why should these people encouraged to stay here?

There are several thousand illegal migrants from Bengal & Assam flocking into Karnataka particularly working in coffee plantations in Kodagu & Chikamagaluru districts. Most of them are involved in illegal activities. It is time to drive them out of Karnataka.

BJP has used a new weapon against minorities to make them stateless. This is part of their Hindutva agenda wherein minorities will not have equal citizen rights but at the mercy of majority. BJP expects each minority to have documents like Aadhar etc. Does Mr Modi and Smriti Irani have proof that they have passed their bachelors? If their leaders cannot provide evidence how can you expect the poor, illiterate minorities to produce their Aadhar cards or Ration card???

    @ Nicholas, Canada,
Citizenship is granted to only legal immigrants who had entered the country on visas, especially to minorities in Pakistan who are persecuted for their religion. Hope you are aware about the recent demonstration by Sindhis in Canada against forcible conversion of Hindu girls in Pakistan.

Aadhaar or ration cards are not educational certificates. Any genuine citizen or legal immigrant or legal resident in the country can obtain them.
