The Highway that runs through Nanthoor needs to be redirected closer to the coastal line. That will reserve city roads for city traffic only. Pumpwell is not adequate to handle city traffic and highway traffic.

Instead of spending money on flyover, the engineers should have found a way to build a highway on the coastal line. Someshwara, Ullala, Bengre and Tannir bavi beach area would be a ideal line for highway. The city should be spared from highway traffic. We are Kurigalu Saar Kurigalu

@G R PRABHUJI, Mangalore, That means earlier only educated / literate people used drive??? We have to control our urge to comment with bias on anything deemed "Other"(class/caste/religion/state/gender). By the way education means one can read/write, doesn't necessarily mean one has wisdom!

Please don't say this. This will create fear in the minds of people. The only reason such incidents and collisions take place is because people are irresponsible and do not care about the outcome of any decisions made. Speaking Psychologically this can even happen in frustration and anger. Also do not forget, driving under the influence of alcohol. My Mangalore is a beautiful place and will forever be like this. A proud Kannadiga
