Daijiworld Media Network - Puttur (SP)

Puttur, Jul 9: Mudara, headmaster of Haradi higher primary school in the taluk, stands suspended through an order issued by the deputy director of public instruction, Dakshina Kannada district. He has been accused of selling items supplied for operating the midday meal scheme of the government in the school.

The school development and monitoring committee (SDMC) had complained to the educational officer for 'Akshara Dasoha' scheme about the irregularities committed by the headmaster by selling 11 sacks of rice supplied for the said scheme, and recording false details in books of accounts. President of the taluk panchayat here, Radhakrishna Borkar, had taken the issue seriously. This issue had also been raised at the general session of the zilla panchayat.

'Akshara Dasoha' educational officer, Rajalaxmi, taluk panchayat executive officer, Jagadish S, and assistant director under the scheme, Suresh Kumar, had visited the school in the presence of the members of the SDMC, investigated the matter and sent a report to the zilla panchayat.

The zilla panchayat chief executive officer, who verified the investigation report, had forwarded the same to the district Akshara Dasoha educational officer, duly recommending further steps. On the basis of the report, DDPI, Y Shivaramayya, noting that the allegations against the headmaster of the school have been prima facie proved, issued an order of suspension.

Senior-most teacher of the said school, Priya Kumari, has been asked to function as headmistress of the school in place of the suspended headmaster.

why did not people catch him and bind to a tree and thrash him or paraded like in up?

A headmaster should ba model for other teachers and students. So he was not certainly this.Shame o n him.

Govt should ask him to pay back the amount of rice he stole.Otherwise cut this from his pension or payment due .Rice was bought from taxpayers money by the Govt.He stole rice from poor children s stomach .and enriched himself. Was it really needed head master.you were not getting payment ?

You are now not head master, but kalla master.

If the headmaster of the school itself is involved in stealing and illegal activity, then what will be the future of the children studying in that school. This is the result of recruitment of teachers based on reservation and not on merit. God help our children.

Morality of people is at an all time low since the BJP assumed power in 2014
Literally every responsible citizen, holding revered positions like teacher etc are taking bribes and resorting to unlawful activities.
The effect of demonetization is still there.
