Six from Saharanpur killed in Uttarakhand accident


Dehradun, Jun 26 (IANS): Six persons, including four children, were killed and four injured when a car in which they were travelling fell into a deep gorge at Moriana Band area in Thatyur block of Tehri district in Uttarakhand on Wednesday, police said.

All the ten people travelling in the car were the natives of Chhutmalpur area of Saharanpur district in Uttar Pradesh. The car was going from Chhutmulpur area to Uttarkashi district when the accident occurred.

The six persons killed in the accident belong to two families including two women.

The police took the injured persons to a nearby hospital. The condition of all the four persons is stated to be serious.
