Mangaluru: Rainfall continues in some pockets of coastal region

Mangaluru, Jun 25: Several areas in Dakshina Kannada district had some rainfall on Monday June 24. At the same time, Udupi district experienced sunny weather.

The city got some rains in the morning and again in the evening. The district got some rain late night on Sunday. The coast had cloudy weather all through.

The depleted rainfall has given rise to disappointment among the farmers who had begun agricultural activities after the region experienced delayed rains.

During the 24-hour period ended 8.30 am on Monday, Tikota in Vijayapura got nine cm rain, which was the highest in the state. Karwar, Gokak, and Shirahatti Keroor also received good rains.
