Kasargod, Jun 24: Ajith (19), son of Babu from Partaje within the limits of Badiadka police station ended his life by hanging himself. He had been suspended by the college management a few days back.

Ajith was a second year degree student of a private college at Bellur Nettanige Baja. It is said that for certain reasons, he was suspended from the college and hence he had not attended college since a week. The college authorities informed the police that Ajith was suspended after the CCTV cameras installed in the third floor of the college showed him behaving in an indecent manner. He was also issued transfer certificate.

However, many have held that the college was not right in issuing transfer certificate without informing the student's family. The mortal remains were subjected to post-mortem at the mortuary of the general hospital here after inquest, after which they were handed over to the family members. Funeral took place on Sunday evening.

The deceased student has left behind parents and four sisters.
