ICSI Mangaluru chapter observes International Yoga Day

Mangaluru, Jun 21: Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) Mangaluru chapter, observed International Yoga Day here at Karnataka Bank auditorium on Friday, June 21.

Yoga instructor Devika Purushotam along with other dignitaries inaugurated the event.

Addressing the gathering Devika Purushotam said, "Yoga is a valuable treasure given to us. Yoga improves the quality of life. You should know the power of body, mind, senses and energy and yoga helps you to do that. To keep your health in good condition practicing yoga should be part of your daily routine.”

Paediatrician Dr Shivram Rai said, "Yoga is being practiced from ancient days and has vast history. Today because of the present lifestyle, we lack proper balance in our food habits and fall sick quite often. Yoga should be part of our day-to-day activities to keep ourselves healthy.”

Yoga Instructor Devika Purushotam and Dr Anusha demonstrated Yoga for the gathering.

Anusha Nayak compered the programme, chairman of ICSI Mangaluru chapter Chethan Nayak welcomed the gathering and Akshay Shet rendered the vote of thanks.
