No access to water - Over 21 cities will suffer drought by 2030

Daijiworld Media Network - New Delhi (SHP)

New Delhi, Jun 20: Water scarcity is real and there are already several cities in the country suffering from it. A report of NITI Ayog regarding groundwater level has already predicted a nightmare for over 21 Indian cities. By the year 2020, cities like Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad will completely exhaust their groundwater. This will end up affecting over a 100 million people.

The report continues stating the worst, by 2030, over 40 per cent of the country’s population will have no access to water. The report was formulated after researching and observing the depletion of water bodies around the major cities. It was noted that around three rivers, four water bodies, five wetlands and six forests have dried up in Chennai.

Considering the situation, former director of National Water Academy, Prof Manohar Khushalani said, “The government is depending upon the desalination in Chennai which is very expensive. They forget that earth is a limited planet and oceans will dry. What will we leave for our children and grandchildren? We may have a lot of money but we cannot ask our children to drink money instead of water. Using ocean water and desalination is not the solution, water harvesting is.”

He further added that it was the responsibility of the government and the citizens of the country to save and work towards increasing the groundwater levels. Manohar Khushalani, claimed that rainwater harvesting is not a difficult process and it can be done by anyone and everyone.

Since 2003, Manohar has developed rainwater harvesting in his own house premises. He says that he is trying to maintain the water level in his area.

Manohar suggested that regions with drought should discontinue the farming of sugarcane, as it absorbs lot of groundwater.

Owing to his love for environment, Manohar Khushalani has authored books on ‘Irrigation Practice’ and designed it in five volumes. Currently, Manohar is working as a professor in the Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi.

The physical spaces are also shrinking. One of the causes which is allways downplayed is the population growth in cities and overall too. if we had the population of 1940s now, we would multiple times the ground water what is today. the foolishness still continues with some communities having child marriages plus foolish beleif that god will give a guarenteed provision for every new borns. this is a collecive sucide unless some harsh measures are put in place now.

This was to happen sooner or later. Surprisingly, even now, the human beings are not worried!!!
We are just thinking of acquiring more vehicles, building more structures and of course producing more children.
    God Save this Sanatana country.

Many experts have made this doomsday prediction on acute scarcity of water and that many people will have to evacuate! Moreover, India's population will surpass China's by 2027; unless we don't take drastic measures to control it, the water situation will aggravate further! Actually, we are sitting on a time bomb!

Many have rightly said "In FUTURE wars will be FOUGHT for water!!!

Rainwater harvesting? A good idea but when there are no rains, what will you harvest? Today is 21 June and what is the amount of rain we have received so far? A month of the monsoon season is already over and the rain that we have received is not going to be of any significance at all. It is like a drop in the ocean. Mangalore is not the only place to receive scanty rainfall. Rain deficiency has been reported from all over the country. I am sure we won't have to wait till 2030; we will experience drought much before that. Something drastic will have to be thought about to alleviate the hardship, something out of the box. However, the priority should be to preserve trees and to plant saplings on a war footing. Not just in Mangalore, all over the country. As far as we are concerned, the ill advised Yettinahole project should be scrapped immediately. There is absolutely no doubt about that. Politicians have inflicted untold suffering on this city. They should not be allowed to have their way. For the benefit of a few politicians, the entire city and the people should not suffer.

Rain water MUST be harvested and water wastages should be stopped. Polluting rivers should be an offence, and damns should be built to prevent water going to the sea. It does not make sense that we allow the fresh water to go to the sea, and then build very costly desalination plants to get our water supply.

If you go to the small Caribbean Islands, especially those that do not have rivers, houses are built on top of Wells. So when it rains all the rain water is harvested and from the roof it goes straight into the well, which doubles as a storage tank too. Alternatively, we should learn from the tiny state of Israel who have perfected drip irrigation methods and how they save on water consumption.

In all scenarios the government should help the poor and set up damns and all of the above.

Sad situation ,or bad situation has arised now in karnataka too.More popualation ,more need of water.Less rain less water.people too dont think of using in a better way instead of spoiling our resources..People who bore wells and pump the water more than necessary.let pump work and water flows too much out.let our resources with thoughts and only what we need .let us use water without spoiling.Previously we used to wash clothes with hand today maschines .of course in flats no other option.but it is a example.water is a very important element .Now might be only option for us is a desalinezation of see water. That too has its problems.

    Due to loss of magnetism...??

    Message to John Leary

Thursday, December 13, 2018: (St. Lucy)...

Jesus said: “My people, you have researched the cause of this warming trend. It is your polar shifts with a decrease in the strength of the magnetism of your magnetosphere, that is allowing more heat from the sun to warm the earth. This is contrary to your carbon dioxide theories which do not correlate. This warming trend is heating up your oceans and it is causing more severe hurricanes and tornadoes. It is also melting your polar ice caps. Pray that this loss of magnetism will return to normal, or this polar shift will get worse.”...

Government supply on ration basis... only 4 bucket of water per day for one family or they have to charge water tax if anyone uses water more than 4 buckets for each family. I saw in India people spoil the water if supplied excessively.

    No Providence from God ??

MESSAGE GIVEN BY OUR LADY TO WILLIAM COSTELLIA IN HIS HOME ON 13 JUNE 2019
    MESSAGE NO. 787...

"Have you not noticed in many countries that the rain has stopped – or at least reduced – where water will become scarce, but it will be through prayer and sacrifices that you will be given the necessary water and food, because many countries will die of starvation.”

“Have you not read the Book of Revelation, My sweet children, where great catastrophes and disasters are to occur and enslavement. Punishment will come to the world because mankind have [has] placed aside My Divine Son Who is their only Salvation and Joy and Peace.”

“Pray, My dear children and once again I offer you My Holy Rosary so that the children will acknowledge that this prayer is the most important prayer for the Church – for mankind.

The best time to save water was 20 years ago, the second best time is now!
Along with water conservation, India being a country with a large coastline, desalination plants will help drinking water deficit instead of building statues!

Government should make compulsory in each home should construct water preserving unit which accumulated thru rain fall. For that govt. should give subsidy. Make as much as possible everywhere under ground water preserving system. It can be used rest of nine months. To build saline water system cost more. It cannot be affordable in india. All lakes wells and ponds to be cleaned. People first try to keep there surroundings clean it's utmost needed.
