Kasargod, Jun 20: In connection with the alleged sexual harassment meted out to a 13-year-old girl, a case had been registered in Vellarikundu police station.
The district court here, which conducted hearing in the case, found the accused, identified as Prasad Narayanan (26), a resident of Vellarikundu Karalam, guilty of the offence. He has been handed down ten years imprisonment and Rs 20,000 in the form of fine.
The fine amount has been ordered to be disbursed to the aggrieved girl.
Vellarikundu police had, during February 2016, registered a case of sexual harrassment of minor girl, duly naming Prasad Narayanan as the accused.
