Bengaluru: CM Kumaraswamy charges BJP of enticing JD(S) legislators with bribe

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Jun 19: It appears that the BJP leaders, who had earlier said that they would be happy sitting in the opposition, have begun efforts to woo legislators belonging to other parties. Karnataka chief minister (CM), H D Kumaraswamy, charged the BJP on Tuesday June 18 of trying to attract legislators belonging to the JD(S) by dangling a bite of Rs 10 crore.

"I have information that the BJP leaders called up a legislator from my party over phone on Monday evening. They urged him to join that party, and offered ten crore rupees as bribe. They have also been trying to force the legislators to switch to BJP by predicting fall of the state government soon," he said. He was speaking to reporters during his visit to Ramanagara to participate in a public programme.

But the CM fell short of revealing the names of the leaders who called the MLA or the legislator to whom the money was offered. He claimed that the legislator who got the call himself informed him about the call.

Its a common practise in the market to tell another prospective customer that hey look he is giving Rs 10 crore you have to give me atleast Rs 8 crore concession for you
No one goes to verify whether perdson is really giving or not
Given the size of funds BJP is getting may be 10 crore is not a big money for BJP
But I would say BJP should not indulge in buying MLAs as they would fleece money from Public once sitting in Govt
    God save Karnataka
