Mangaluru: Week long cultural fest ‘Riviera 2K19’ inaugurated

Mangalore, Jun 18: The inaugural of ‘Riviera 2K19’ a week long cultural fest was held on Monday, June 17 in the Auditorium of Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College (FMHMC), Deralakatte.

The programme began with a prayer song invoking God’s blessings, followed by welcome address by Sai Revanth, president of Students Council. The inauguration of the Fest was done by lighting of the lamp by chief guest Fr Roshan Crasta, administrator of FMHMCH along with other dignitaries namely Dr Shivaprasad, principal, Dr Deepa Pais, cultural coordinator, student association president Sai Revanth and cultural secretary Madhu.

In his inaugural address, administrator Fr Roshan Crasta urged and motivated the students for a healthy participation and competition among the captains and students. He also stressed upon the participation being more important than winning and wished all the participants the very best and all success. The launching of the promo of Riviera 2K19 was also done by Fr Roshan Crasta.



The vote of thanks was proposed by Anika, general secretary of Student Association, while the programme was compered by Maria J Abraham and Shubham, students of FMHMCH.

A series of on stage and off stage events are organized for the participants.

On the inaugural day, two on stage events were conducted, namely JAM (Just A Minute) and Extempore; and two off stage events- Pencil Sketching and Treasure Hunt. JAM was conducted by Mahesh Nayak, a journalist and compere from Mangaluru. The valedictory will be held on June 22 at FMHMC Deralakatte.
