Mangaluru: Student cabinet inaugurated at St Ann’s PU College

Mangaluru, Jun 18: The student cabinet of St Ann’s PU College for the year 2019-20 was formally inaugurated in the college auditorium on June 13. The programme began with the prayer service followed by a welcome dance.

Sr Marilda AC, the principal of the college inaugurated the programme by lighting the traditional lamp along with cabinet in-charge Reena Almeida, college student leader Ayisha Lubna and assistant college student leader Swathi.

The light was then passed on to the cabinet members. The cabinet ministers elected for the year 2019-20 are Ayisha Lubna, college student leader, Sawthi, assistant college student leader, Shaima Sheikh, secretary, B Vaishnavi M Rao and Jessica Almeida, ministers for discipline, Varsha, minister for cleanliness, Anarghya N K and Nafeesa Rifa Sanouber, ministers for cultural activities, Danica Deona Monteiro, Shanaaz, and Pallavi, student editor, and Surayya, minister for sports.



The principal administered the oath to the cabinet members. They then declared their portfolios. Ayisha Lubna, the college student leader on behalf of the cabinet members, thanked the principal, lecturers and students and pledged to uphold the moto of the college ‘Always Higher, Always Greater, Always Nobler’. Principal then addressed the gathering and asked the students to co-operate with the cabinet ministers to maintain discipline in the college.

After the formal programme, the students of II ESBA performed a short inspirational skit followed by an entertainment dance to celebrate the occasion. The program was compered by Aysha Zulfa and vote of thanks was proposed by Zulekha Ashura of II ESBA.

The biannual college magazine ‘Annthea’ for the year 2017-2018 and 2018 - 2019 was released by Sr Elsie AC accompanied by the Principal Sr Marilda AC and the editorial board on the occasion.
