Mangaluru: Turbulence at sea expected - People advised to stay away

Mangaluru, Jun 18: The meteorological department has warned people to keep away from the sea as the department expects turbulence at sea till June 18 midnight. As strong wind with a velocity of 35 to 45 km per hour will blow over the sea, the department has issued this advance warning.

The department said that there is possibility of huge waves lashing the shore, and asked people residing near the seashore to be careful. It also said that chances of sea erosion occurring in this situation cannot be ruled out.

 

The department has said that some districts in Tamil Nadu will experience extremely hot wind on Tuesday and has advised people not to expose themselves to the sun between 10 am and 4 pm. It also predicted heavy rains to lash parts of Kerala on Tuesday.
